Abstract
The main theme of this thesis is climate attitudes. It is inspired by Bourdieu and his forms of capital. Using quantitative methods, the thesis examines how possession of different forms of capital influence a person’s experience of personal responsibility in the fight against climate change. It also examines how the effect of the forms of capital varies within the four European countries Norway, Russia, Germany and Spain, and whether there are significant differences between Norway and the three other countries. Data is based on the European Social Survey (ESS) round 8 from 2016, and the analyses are performed in Stata and Excel.
