dc.description.abstract	This thesis explorer how children and adolescence use the Internet as a medium for communication. The study looks at social interactions in chat rooms, where people can communicate with each other online. The empirical focus is on that happens in the encounters on the Net and how children, mainly between the age of 11 and 14, experience this kind of communication.	nb_NO
