Sammendrag
Alpine touring is becoming more and more popular all over the world. Special bindings are required if you want to go alpine touring, but these bindings have shortcomings when compared to regular alpine bindings used in for example alpine racing. This report explores the many ways alpine touring bindings underperform when compared to alpine bindings. The user experience of going alpine touring was investigated and current pain points identified. Based on the findings of these investigations a solution of combining alpine bindings with low-tech alpine touring technology was proposed. Using the wayfaring model, concepts were ideated, prototyped, tested and evaluated. A final concept was then designed and protoyped in full scale. The full scale prototype was tested in real life conditions. The final concept and its specifications were then compared existing solutions.
