Since 2009 the authors have conducted a practice as research project The Role’s Voices – The Voice’s Role at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. The project explores drama, heart and soul and seeks to understand the relationship between the unique inner voice, heart intelligence and the intelligence of feeling. The main contention of the paper is that a key to understanding the concepts of heart intelligence and the intelligence of feeling lies in the term subject-reflexive action. Underpinned conceptually by Witkin and the archetypal thinking of Hillman and Jung the individual-centred drama methodology employed integrates work informed by the voice pedagogy of Wolfsohn and Hart and their view of the human voice as the mirror and muscle of the soul. The paper argues that the methodology and research practice enhances unique identity construction and wellbeing and provides an opportunity for soul-making.nb_NO
