| dc.description.abstract | Regnskapsbransjen har eksistert over lengre tid, men det var først i 1969 at den Norske Regnskapsbyråers Forening ble stiftet. Det har i lengre perioder vært inkrementelle endringer i bransjen. I senere tid har teknologi og utvikling ført til dramatiske endringer i regnskapsbransjen, noe som igjen har gitt liv til en ny art av konkurrenter. Den tradisjonelle regnskapsføreren har derfor i utgangspunktet to valg i møte med denne digitaliseringen; stikke hodet i sanden og håpe at perioden vil passere eller være konstruktiv å og finne nye bein å stå på.
“Hvordan har lønnsomheten i Bookkeeper Vest AS utviklet seg i perioden 2014-2017 og hva kan være mulige årsaker til denne utviklingen?”
I oppgaven gjennomgår vi teorien som omhandler regnskapsanalyse og strategisk analyse, ved hjelp av nøkkeltall og en SWOT analyse. Regnskapsanalysen ga oss oversikt over bedriftens generelle økonomiske situasjon over tid og dens utvikling. Fokusområdet vårt gjennom analysen av bedriften er lønnsomhet, vi har derfor analysert nøkkeltallene i lys av dette.
Oppsummert kan vi si at lønnsomheten i Bookkeeper Vest AS har forbedret seg med årene. Den største forbedringen skjedde fra 2014 til 2015, mens de videre har hatt en mindre forbedring de kommende årene. Fra 2014 til 2015 har Bookkeeper Vest AS hatt en betydelig økning i driftsresultatet, grunnet økning i driftsinntektene. Dette har vært årsaken til en god forbedring i lønnsomheten til bedriften.
Vi ser at bedriften er i stadig utvikling og endring. Ut fra den strategiske analysen fremkommer det at bedriften har en rekke styrker og mulighetsområder de kan benytte seg av de kommende årene. Bedriftens styrker er blant annet erfaringer med vekst og endring, allsidighet, kompetanse og innovasjon. Videre setter den strategiske analysen lys på svakhetene og truslene Bookkeeper Vest har både internt og eksternt. Disse involverer blant annet tap av humankapital, konkurrenter og substitutter. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Accountancy has been exercised for a long time, however it was not until 1969 that the Norwegian Accounting Standards Association was founded. There have been incremental changes in the industry for interminable periods, but in recent times, technology and development have led to dramatic changes in the accounting industry. This has in turn introduced new types of competitors. The traditional accountant has therefore two choices in the face of this digitization; to bury one’s head in the sand and hope that the period will elapse or be constructive and find new legs to stand on.
"How has Bookkeeper Vest AS's profitability developed in the period 2014-2017 and what may be the possible causes for this development?"
In this study, relevant theories that deal with accounting and strategic analysis are presented. This is carried out by drawing on key financial figures and a SWOT analysis. The accounting analysis granted us insight of the company’s general economic situation and its development over a given period. The main focus area of the analysis and this study is on the company’s profitability. Hence, key figures in this matter are analyzed in light of this.
In summary, we can say that the profitability of Bookkeeper Vest AS has developed favourably throughout the period. The largest improvement took place between 2014 to 2015, whilst there also was a minor improvement in the remaining years. From 2014 to 2015, Bookkeeper Vest AS had a significant increase in operating profits, due to largely attributable increase in revenues. This has been the justification behind the improvement in the profitability of the company.
We see that the company has endured continuous evolvement and change. Based on the strategic analysis, it appears that Bookkeeper Vest AS has several strengths and opportunities that can be utilized in the forthcoming years. The company's strengths include perspicacity with growth and development, versatility, competence and innovation. Furthermore, the strategic analysis highlights the weaknesses and threats Bookkeeper Vest has both internally and externally. These includes loss of human capital, competitors and substitutes. | |
