Today, Finite Element Method is the most popular way for modeling and analyzing the behavior of electric machines. However, this method cannot be used when there is a need for fast calculations during the sizing and, sometimes, optimization stages of design process. At these stages analytical methods are preferable. The main goal of this thesis is to develop new analytical models for rapid analysis of one specific class of machines - radial-flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM) with concentrated windings and surface mounted magnets. Permeance Network Method is used to model the magnetic circuit.nb_NO
