Abstract
The first Kerr-Lens mode-locked Cr:ZnS laser generates the shortest and highest-energy mid-IR near transform-limited pulses of 69 fs duration at 550 mW output power. The 3.7 nJ pulses have 193 nm wide spectrum around 2.39 µm
