dc.description.abstract | In this project I will explore iron uptake in the cyanobacterium Synechococcus 7002 sp. Particularly in terms of of siderophore production, in addition to the iron transport complex FutABC. The methods employed will be a mix of bioinformatic analysis and the use of deletion mutants to elucidate the function of certain genes. | |
