For companies developing complicated products a lack of communication can be a major problem, and lead to schedule slippage, cost overruns and reduced product quality. In order to support the Agile Team Building method, which aims to analyze and improve design teams, a method for detecting interactions in teams has been developed. Based on observations and communication with a design team, a user requirement specification was made, also taking into consideration potential privacy issues. In order to find a good solution, different concepts and technologies was investigated, and similar experiments studied. This resulted in a prototype using a Radio Frequency transceiver module to detect proximity as an indication of interaction. The prototype was further developed and tested, achieving good results. This thesis also describes a novel application of the Agile Team Building method on a race car development team. The Agile Team Building method has great potential in improving design teams, and the solution described in this thesis show a promising way of carrying it out.nb_NO
