dc.description.abstract | An active front end converter along with its associated control system has been the scope of this thesis. Relavant literature has been considered for identifying the operation and possible system implementations of this system with emphasis on its control. Different current- and voltage controllers have been studied and designed for simulation purposes. A discretized simulation model has been used to aid controller design. This simulation model has been used to investigate and compare the performance of the different controllers when employed in the stationary reference frame. | |
