By Injecting CO2 into the Tarbert formation Sector H of Gullfaks in the North Sea, additional 12.5 % can be recovered compared to water injection. This thesis discusses important factors for CO2 injection by studying a synthetic model and then uses the results to design an Improved Oil Recovery plan for the sector H model are using CO2 Water Alternating Gas Injection.CO2 solubility has been helpful in getting the additional oil. Many cases are made and compared to understand what method best suits this model. Continuous water injection, CO2 injection and Hydrocarbon gas injection has been used and all these cases simulated to 10 years o see which case performs better. CO2 WAG outshines all other by giving best incremental recovery. A theoretical background to EOR and then CO2 EOR is given at the start followed by an overview of some International and National CO2 projects.nb_NO
