The reflectivity below a strong reector is a known problem. By looking at a real case and using real input values an evaluation of the modeling of such a case is done in this thesis. An introduction presenting all the theoretical background is the first part of the thesis. Followed is the theory about the different kinds of modeling. By using the different models, as simple as half space modeling, half space modeling with previous interface effects and also more complex models as the full-waveform algorithm, the problem is being discussed. The models are compared and discussed in terms of answering the question of reflectivity. All these models are used in either MATLAB,Hampson Russel or both. The focus has also been on the advantages of having PS-data available and jointly analyzing this with the PP-data. There is also a comparison of real gathers to see at what extent the synthetic could be interpreted as true.nb_NO
