Sammendrag
Traditional RCM approach concerns important functions of the system, and thoroughly obtained/selected PM action can certainly improve reliability of the system, but this approach cannot address and deal with all the aspects of the maintenance highly impacting on availability. There are only way to improve the availability of the system by taking into account many factors which are part of maintainability and logistics. Above mentioned issues in energy industry are the drivers of developing new approach called Availability Centered Maintenance (ACM), where availability is main concern of the analysis. When we apply this method into our system desired level of availability and reliability can be achieved. The approach has logical aspects which include main factors affecting MDT. Furthermore, ACM approach includes bunch of important standpoint quantitative analysis methods to highlight equipment criticality in terms of availability.
