dc.description.abstract | Aker Solutions has previously delivered pipeline end termination solutions for subsea field development projects in the North Sea, but for various reasons these are not a standard product in their scope of delivery. In this thesis we have completed a concept screening system definition process for a pipeline end termination structure, and made a proposed design that is intended to use as a standard platform for future projects in the North Sea. In this thesis we have focused on; making the model as flexible as possible with regards to manufacturing, handling and typical installation procedures and to verify if an alternative installation method can be used by utilize existing Aker Solutions standard equipment. The model was analysed and verified for load cases occurring during installation and operation and it was found that the model can be installed for a wide variety of locations in the North Sea and on the Norwegian continental shelf. | nb_NO |
