The objective of the thesis proposed is to investigate the potential of DAS(Distributed Acoustic Sensing) for flow regime classification. A relativelysimple and cost effective experiment has been conducted in this study.Using the results from the experiments, several artificial neural networks hasbeen created to recognize the pattern in the one third octave band data. Theresults has shown a neural network is a promising tool which serves the purposeof this study.nb_NO
