Barndomstraumer og skadelig seksuell atferd hos ungdom

Abstract

Problemstilling: Hvordan kan traumer i barndommen og utrygg tilknytning påvirke utviklingen av skadelig seksuell atferd hos ungdom?

Introduksjon / bakgrunn: Forskning indikerer at en betydelig andel av seksuelle overgrep mot barn, utføres av andre barn og unge, noe som understreker viktigheten av å forstå dynamikken bak slike handlinger. Videre bidrar kunnskap fra traumepsykologi og utviklingspsykologi til en dypere forståelse av de komplekse vanskene som barn utsatt for traumer kan oppleve. Disse vanskelighetene kan manifestere seg i form av sosiale og atferdsmessige utfordringer, inkludert skadelig seksuell atferd.

Hensikt: Hensikten med denne oppgaven er å undersøke sammenhengen mellom tidlige traumer, tilknytning og utvikling av skadelig seksuell atferd. Dette for å informere mulig forebyggende og behandlende tiltak og forstå dette i en vernepleierkontekst.

Metode: Oppgaven benytter seg av metoden litteraturstudium, hvor fagfellevurderte forskningsartikler og annen relevant faglitteratur brukes for å svare på problemstillingen.

Resultat: Tidlige traumer, som seksuelt misbruk og familievold, har en klar sammenheng med en økt sannsynlighet for seksuell problematferd. Utrygg tilknytning, ofte forårsaket av disse traumene, fungerer som en medierende faktor og bidrar til dysregulering av følelser og atferd, som igjen kan føre til SSA.

Konklusjon: Negative barndomserfaringer kan forstyrre utviklingen av sunne tilknytningsmønstre og hensiktsmessig emosjonsregulering. Noe som kan føre til at ungdommer har vanskeligheter med å håndtere impulser og atferd på sosialt akseptable måter, og øker risikoen for utvikling av SSA.

Research question: How can childhood trauma and insecure attachment affect the development of harmful sexual behavior in adolescents?

Introduction / background: Research indicates that a significant portion of sexual abuse of children, are perpetrated by other children and adolescents, which underscores the importance of understanding the dynamics behind such actions. Furthermore, knowledge from trauma psychology and developmental psychology contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex difficulties that children exposed to trauma may experience. These difficulties can manifest as social and behavioral challenges, including harmful sexual behavior.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between early traumas, attachment, and the development of harmful sexual behavior. This to inform preventive measures and treatment and understand this within the context of care professionals.

Method: This study involves a literature review method, using peer-reviewed research articles and other relevant literature are used to address the research question.

Results: Early traumas, such as sexual abuse and family violence, are clearly linked to an increased likelihood of problematic sexual behavior. Insecure attachment, often caused by these traumas, acts as a mediating factor and contributes to the dysregulation of emotions and behavior, which in turn can lead to HSB.

Conclusion: Negative childhood experiences can disrupt the development of healthy attachment patterns and appropriate emotional regulation. This can lead to difficulties in managing impulses and behavior in socially acceptable ways, increasing the risk of developing HSB.
