Digital Læringsressurs i Blodbankarbeid

Abstract

Formålet med denne oppgaven er å utarbeide en digital læringsressurs i tema blodbankarbeid for emnet HBIOT2026 – Medisinsk laboratorieteknologi – Transfusjonsmedisin og Immunhematologi, ved bioingeniørutdanningen ved NTNU. Ressursen skal bli en del av en allerede etablert nettside som fungerer som en digital læringsressurs for bioingeniørstudenter i Trondheim. Innholdet utviklet i denne oppgaven baserer seg på fem undervisningsfilmer som er utarbeidet i samarbeid mellom Institutt for bioingeniørfag, og Avdeling for immunologi og transfusjonsmedisin, St. Olavs hospital. Undervisningsfilmene tar for seg utvelgelse og tapping av blodgivere, i tillegg til fremstilling av blodkomponenter. Dette er tema det er vanskelig å undervise i på laboratoriekurs, og ikke alle studenter har ekstern praksis på blodbanken. En digital læringsressurs kan derfor bli et verdifullt supplement til dagens undervisning. Det har blitt utviklet en egen side med navn «Blodbank» i den eksisterende læringsressursen «Opplæringsressurs IBF». Denne læringsressursen er en WordPress-nettside, og det er brukt H5P-verktøy for å utarbeide interaktivt innhold til siden. Siden om blodbank er inndelt i forskjellige temaer med utgangspunkt i undervisningsfilmene. Hvert tema er bygd opp med informativ tekst, interaktive filmer og oppgaver. Ressursen er testet av et testpanel som består av andre- og tredjeårsstudenter, samt ansatte ved Seksjon Blodbank ved St. Olavs hospital. Resultatene viser at en interaktiv digital læringsressurs om blodbankarbeid er ønsket av studentene, og kan bidra til godt læringsutbytte ved å brukes til forberedelser, repetisjon og utdyping av temaet.

The purpose of this project was to develop a digital learning resource in blood banking for the course HBIOT2026 - Medical Laboratory Technology - Transfusion Medicine and Immunohematology at the Biomedical Laboratory Scientist program at NTNU. The resource will become part of an already established website that serves as a digital learning resource for Biomedical Laboratory Scientist students in Trondheim. The content developed in this project is based on five educational films created by the Department of Biomedical Laboratory Science in collaboration with the Department of immunology and transfusion at St. Olavs hospital. The content of the films focuses on the screening and blood collecting of blood donors, and the manufacturing of blood components. These are topics that are difficult to teach in laboratory courses, and not all studens have external study practice at the blood bank. A digital learning resource can therefor be a valuable additional resource to the education. A page with the name «Blodbank” has been developed within the existing learning resource «Opplæringsressurs IBF». This learning resource is a WordPress website, and the H5P-tool is used to develop interactive content for the website. The page for blood banking is divided into different topics based on the educational films. Each topic is structured with informative text, interactive films and tasks. The resource is tested by a test panel consisting of second- and third-year students, and employees of the blood bank at St. Olavs hospital. The results show that an interactive digital learing resource about blood bank work is something the students want, and can help contribute to a good learning outcome by being used for preparation, repetition and deepening the knowledge of the topic.
