Solskinnspolitikken

Abstract

Denne oppgaven analyserer utviklingen og endringene av solskinnspolitikken fra begynnelsen med Kim Dae-Jung-administrasjonen i 1998, til dens slutt med Park Geun-Hye-administrasjonen i 2016. Solskinnspolitikken var en ny og annerledes tilnærming til den nordkoreanske problemet og de inter-koreanske relasjonene. Denne oppgaven ser på de forskjellige politikkene til de forskjellige administrasjonene i perioden 1998 til 2016 og sammenligner dem med den inter-koreanske situasjonen i løpet av den tiden. Den ser også på de direkte resultatene av politikken, og reaksjonene fra den nord-koreanske regjeringen. Med problemstillingen: En analyse av Sør-Koreas gjenforeningspolitikk sett gjennom utviklingen av Solskinnspolitikken, Fra Kim Dae Jung administrasjonen frem til Park Geun Hye administrasjonen. Og hovedspørsmålet: ‘’I hvilken grad bidro de ulike politikkene til å bedre det inter-koreanske forholdet?’’

This thesis analyses the development and changes of the Sunshine Policy form its beginning with the Kim Dae-Jung Administration in 1998, to its end with the Park Geun-Hye Administration in 2016. The Sunshine Policy was a new and different approach on the North Korean issue and the inter-Korean relations. This thesis looks at the different policies of the different administrations in the period 1998 to 2016 and compares them to the inter-Korean situation during that time. It also looks at the direct results of the policies, and the reactions from the North-Korean government. The title is ‘’An Analysis of South Korea's Reunification Policy, viewed through the development of the Sunshine Policy from the Kim Dae Jung administration until Park Geun Hye administration’’. And the research question is ‘’To what extent did the various policies contribute to improving inter-Korean relations?’’
