dc.description.abstract | Summary
Title: Mental health in people who have insecure attachments from childhood.
Purpose: The purpose of the literature study is to find associations/try to uncover connections between insecure attachment in childhood and mental health in a life-course perspective. And how can a social worker provide better care for patients and users with mental disorders who have insecure attachments from childhood.
Method: Literature study based on five research articles from various subject databases.
Result: All five scientific articles have found a connection between insecure attachment in childhood and mental illness later in life. Trauma-aware care is important to promote better mental health in the patient group.
Conclusion: people who have insecure attachments in childhood are vulnerable groups in society. The care worker's health and social skills play an important role in contributing to a better quality of life for disadvantaged and marginalized groups in society. Further research can examine how a safe connection/safe base as an early intervention can promote mental health and well-being in patients and users with a lack of belonging to the community.
