Hvordan kan ulike kommunikasjonsformer påvirke arbeidet til sykepleier i et traumeteam?

Abstract

Kort bekrivelse av bacheloroppgaven: Traumateam består av flere ulike profesjoner, hvor sykepleier har en viktig rolle i teamet. Et godt traumeteam er avhengig av god kommunikasjon og det er viktig at teammedlemmene kan bruke ulike kommunikasjonsformer for å oppnå dette.

Hensikt: Studiens hensikt er å belyse hvordan kommunikasjon kan ha en innvirkning på sykepleiers arbeidet i et traumeteam. Vi vil undersøke hvordan ulike kommunikasjonsformer kan påvirke teamarbeidet, derav sykepleiers arbeid i et traumeteam.

Metode: En litteraturstudie som inkluder både kvalitative- og kvantitative studier. Studien inneholder syv forskningsartikler, som ble funnet gjennom databasene Medline og Cinhal. Vi har benyttet søkeordene “Traumateam”, “Communication” og “Nursing” for å finne de utvalgte artiklene.

Resultat: Resultateten avdekker tre hovedtemaer: 1) kommunikasjon og ledelse, 2) forståelse av egen rolle og 3) behovet for å reflektere.

Konklusjon: Studien avdekker funn innen kommunikasjon i det tverrfaglige teamet, lederens evne til å kommunisere og kommunikasjonens innvirkning på sykepleiers behandlende funksjon. Kommunikasjonsformer og bruken av dem er noe som bør videreutvikles for å optimalisere sykepleiers arbeid i traumeteam.

Short description of the bachelor thesis: Trauma teams consist of several different professions, with nurses have an important role in the team. A good trauma team depends on good communication, and it is important that the team members are able to use different methods of communication to achieve this.

Purpose: The study aims to provide insight on how communication can impact the nurses' work in a trauma team. We will examine how different forms of communication can affect teamwork, hence nurses' work in a trauma team.

Method: A literature study that includes both qualitative and quantitative studies. The study contains seven research articles, which were found through the databases Medline and Cinhal. We have used the keywords "Trauma team", "Communication" and "Nursing" to find the selected articles.

Result: The result reveals three main themes: 1) communication and management, 2) understanding of one's own role and 3) the need to reflect.

Conclusion: The study reveals results about the interdisciplinary team's communication, the leader’s communication skills, and the effect of communication on nurses' work. To enhance nurses' performance on trauma teams, communication channels and methods should be further improved.
