Sammendrag Tittel: Velferdsteknologi innenfor autismespekterforstyrrelse

Autismespekterforstyrrelse er ulike tilstand som rammer flere faktorer som kommunikasjon, sosial samhandling og selvstendigheten. Ved hjelp av velferdsteknologi kan dette forebygges for å kunne forbedre kommunikasjon og øke den sosiale deltagelsen for personer med autismespekterforstyrrelse. Kunnskap om autismespekterforstyrrelse og teknologi er nødvendig for å kunne sikre et godt og tilrettelagt læring slik at deltagelsen kan økes. Formålet med denne litteraturstudien er å kunne utforske om teknologi kan bidra til bedre kommunikasjon og sosial deltagelse for personer med autismespekterforstyrrelse. Studiens metode inneholder fem utvalgte forskningsartikler, og andre relevante litteratur og teori for å kunne klargjøre problemstillingen. De fem inkluderte artiklene hadde funn som beviste at teknologi kan bidra til bedre kommunikasjon og sosial deltagelse for personer med autismespekterforstyrrelse. Resultatene i artiklene dannet grunnlag for tre hovedtema og et undertema. Første tema er bedre kommunikasjon, følgelig med undertemaet evne til å uttrykke seg, videre er det andre tema, å være en del av det sosiale miljøet og tredje temaet selvstendighet. Litteraturstudien viser at teknologi kan bidra til å styrke både kommunikasjon, sosiale deltagelse og selvstendighet. Disse er sentrale og viktige egenskaper innenfor vernepleierfagligkompetanse. Informasjonen gitt av resultatene i studien kan bidra til videre forskning knyttet til autismespekterforstyrrelse og velferdsteknologi.

Summary Title: Welfare technology within autism spectrum disorder

Autism spectrum disorder is a different condition that affects several factors. These are factors such as communication, social interaction and independence. This can be prevented with the help of welfare technology to improve communication and increase social participation for people with autism spectrum disorder. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and technology is necessary to be able to ensure good and organized learning so participation can be increased. The purpose of this literature study is to explore whether technology can contribute to better communication and social participation for people with autism spectrum disorder. The study's method contains five selected research articles, and other relevant literature and theory to be able to clarify the issue. The five included articles had findings that proved that technology could contribute to better communication and social participation for people with autism spectrum disorder. The results in the articles formed the basis for three main themes and one sub-theme. The first theme is better communication, consequently with the sub-theme ability to express oneself, the second theme is being part of the social environment and the third theme independence. The literature study shows that technology can help to strengthen both communication, social participation, and independence. These are central and important characteristics within nursing professional competence. The information provided by the results of the study can contribute to further research related to autism spectrum disorder and welfare technology.
