Tittel: Hvordan kan vernepleierfaglig kompetanse bidra i en tverrfaglig skole

Elever i dagens skole er ofte en sammensatt gruppe med flere forskjellige utfordringer og støttebehov. For å gi et godt elevtilbud til alle forskjellige elevgrupper så vil det være nødvendig med tverrfaglige elevtjenester i skolen. Vernepleiere vil være miljøarbeidere med utdanning innen helsefaglige, samfunnsfaglige, juridiske, pedagogiske og psykologiske emner. Dette studiet har som hensikt å se hvordan en slik vernepleierfaglig kompetanse kan passe inn i den tverrfaglige skolen, og hvilket bidrag vernepleiere kan levere i skolen. Metoden som anvendes er en litteraturstudie som presenterer fem utvalgte forskningsartikler sammen med annen relevant teori og litteratur som skal besvare problemstillingen. Alle forskningsartikler benyttet er fra utenlandske studier. Resultatene fra forskningsartiklene omhandler tema som atferd, støttebehov, kompetanse og tverrfaglig samarbeid. I diskusjonen blir elevenes utfordringer og støttebehov diskutert sammen med vernepleierens kompetanse i det tverrfaglige samarbeidet. Her vil litteraturstudiet belyse hvordan det er et behov for den vernepleierfaglige kompetansen i skolens kartleggingsarbeid for å identifisere behov hos elevene. Det vil også komme inn på behovet for målrettet tiltaksarbeid og atferdsanalytisk miljøarbeid. Vernepleiere vil være en ressurs i tverrfaglige team der skolen er villig til å inkludere den vernepleierfaglige kompetansen i elevtjenestene. Resultatene i studiet kommer med informasjon som kan være nyttig for videre forskning på bidraget av vernepleierfaglig kompetanse i skolen.

Summary

Title: How could social educators expertise contribute in a interdisciplinary school

Students in today's school are often a complex group with several different challenges and support needs. In order to provide good student services to all different student groups, it will be necessary to have interdisciplinary student services in the school. Social educators will be social workers with education in health sciences, social sciences, legal, pedagogical and psychological subjects. The purpose of this study is to see how such social educators professional competence can fit into the interdisciplinary school, and what contribution social educators can make in the schools. The method used is a literature study that presents five selected research articles together with other theory and literature of relevance to answer the issue. All research articles used are from foreign studies. The results from the research articles deal with topics such as behavior, support needs, competence and interdisciplinary collaboration. In the discussion, the students' challenges and need for support are discussed together with the social educators competence in the interdisciplinary collaboration. Here, the literature study will shed light on how there is a need for the social educators professional competence in the school's work to identify the needs of the students. It will also address the need for targeted individual measures and behavioral analysis work. Social educators would be a resource in interdisciplinary teams where the school is willing to include the social educators professional competence in the student services. The results of the study provide information that can be useful for further research on the contribution of social educators professional competence in schools.
