Sammendrag
Problemstilling: Kan geografisk bosted være avgjørende i tilbudet om lungekreftscreening medCT?
Formål: Formålet er å finne ut om geografisk bosted kan være avgjørende for mennesker somtrenger lav-dose CT, og hvor lange disse avstandene er i USA i forhold til Norge.
Metode: Det er benyttet kvalitativ litteraturstudie hvor det er hentet data fra eksisterendeartikler og statistikk om geografiske avstander i USA til et CT-anlegg for lungekreftscreening.
Resultat: Resultatene viser avstandene både i urbane og rurale områder i USA til det nærmesteCT-anlegg, og om mobile CT apparat kan hjelpe å nå ut til individer som er sårbare.
Konklusjon: Geografisk bosted kan være avgjørende i tilbudet om lungekreftscreening. Det ermange mennesker som bor langt unna CT fasiliteter, dette samsvarer også med hvordangeografien er her i Norge. Research question: Can geographical location be decisive in the offer of lung cacer screeningwith CT?
Purpose: The purpose is to fint out whether geographical residence can be decisive for peoplewho need low dose CT, and how long these distances are in the USA in relation to Norway.
Method: A qualitative literature study has been used where data has been obtained fromexisting articles and statistics on geographical distances in the USA to a CT facility for lungcancer screening.
Results: The results show the distances in both urban and rural areas in the USA to the nearestCT facility, and whether mobile CT devices can help reach out to individuals who arevulnerable.
Conclusion: Geography can be crucial in the offer of lung cancer screening. There are manyindividuals who live far away from CT facilities, this also corresponds with how the geographyis here in Norway
