This master’s thesis investigates the relation between private health insurances and self-reported health. By using multiple logistic regression analysis and OLS regression, the main findings suggest that individuals with a private health insurance have increased odds of having a good self-reported health, and a negative relation between having a private health insurance and the occurrence of health issues. Furthermore, there are indications of social inequality in health in Norway.nb_NO
