dc.description.abstract | ITQ-33 was synthesized by the fluorine route, and the last of three batches was considered phase pure. The as-synthesized samples were then treated with different alkaline and acidic solutions (degermanation), to determine what treatments the samples would withstand. Based on the degermanation experiments, several treatments featuring rhenium(VII)oxide were carried out on the ITQ-33 samples, and a selection of samples was made based on results from P-XRD, IR spectroscopy and ICP-MS. Some of the selected samples retained crystallinity to a certain extent, while ICP-MS results indicated a rhenium uptake of up to 4% for one of the samples. | en |
