Hvordan kan sykepleierens helsefremmende arbeid bidra til å styrke pasientens livsmot ved uhelbredelig kreft?

Abstract

Introduksjon: I Norge er kreft den vanligste dødsårsaken i befolkningen etter hjerte- og karsykdommer. Kreft forskningen er opptatt av helse, omsorg, levekår og livskvalitet til kreftpasienten. . I sykepleieprofesjonen er det stadig behov for kunnskap og faglig oppdatering fordi dette rammer mange mennesker.

Hensikt: Få kunnskap om sykepleierens helsefremmende arbeide i lindrende kreftbehandling og sykepleierens rolle i det tverrfaglige teamet. Få kunnskap om hvordan man kan bidra til at pasienten blir lindret godt slikt at pasientens livsmot opprettholdes i hverdagen. Samt å belyse viktigheten med riktig kommunikasjon.

Metode: Det er brukt en systematisk litteraturstudie som er basert på fem vitenskapelige forskningsartikler. En kombinasjon av kvalitativ og kvantitativ forskning. Søkeord: Lindrende, palliativ, kreft, sykepleier, incurable cancer, palliative care, pain, dignity, advanced cancer, patients perceptions og health promotion

Resultat: Funn i artikklene viser at det er liten kunnskap om smertelindring og dårlig kommunikasjon mellom pasient og sykepleier. Det vises også at det er lite samarbeid mellom sykepleien og andre helsetjenester. De kommer frem i artiklene at når pasientene har god kommunikasjon med sykepleier, økes livsmotet hos den uhelbredelige kreftsyke pasienten.

Konklusjon: Kommunikasjon kan være utfordrende i sykepleiernes jobb. Både mellom pasient og sykepleier, og i det tverrfaglige arbeidet. Riktig og god kommunikasjon kan fremme helsen hos den uhelbredelige kreftsyke pasienten

Introduction: In Norway, cancer is the most common cause of death in the population after cardiovascular disease. Cancer research is concerned with health, care, living conditions and quality of life for the cancer patient. In the nursing profession, there is a constant need for knowledge and academic updating because this affects many people.

Purpose: Get knowledge about the nurses health-promoting work in relieving cancer treatment and the nurses role in the interdisciplinary team. Gain knowledge about how one can contribute to the patient being relieved well such that the patients life courage is maintained in everyday life. And to highlight the importance of proper communication.

Method: A systematic literature study has been used which is based on five scientific research articles. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Keywords: Relieving, palliative, cancer, nursing, incurable cancer, palliative care, pain, dignity, advanced cancer, patients perception and health promotion.

Result: Findings in the articles show that there is little knowledge about pain relief and poor communication between patient and nurse. It is also shown that there is little cooperation between nursing and other health services. They appear in the articles that when patients have good communication with the nurse, the life expectancy of the incurable cancer patient is increased.

Conclusion: Communication can be challenging in nursing jobs. Both between patient and nurse, and in interdisciplinary work. Proper and good communication can promote the health of the incurable cancer patient.
