For å undersøke hvordan denne produksjonen påvirker
Resultatene viser at
dc.description.abstract | Salmon farming is considered a growing industry, and the environmental footprint is an
important issue. Salmon lice is is by far the biggest challenge to fish health, and different
types of cleaner fish treatment is used to control the continuous growth of lice population in
net pens. The production of ballan wrasse (Labrus bergylta) and lumpfish (Cyclopterus
lumpus) in aquaculture is a complexed process with many stages. An LCA-analysis is carried
out to examine the environmental impact from cleaner fish on the Norwegian salmon
production. The impact categories that have been studied are Global Warming Potential
(GWP), Terrestiral Acidification (TA) and Cumulative Energy Demand (CED). Results from
previous analysis based upon Salmonoid aquaculture shows the total value of 18 858,3 kg
CO2 equivalents. The average GWP value for open sea based farming is 2933 kg CO2
(Gaspard), thereof lumpfish perform best with a percentage of 0,05423%, followed by ballan
wrasse with the percentage of 0,0607%. Cleaner fish stands for a small amount of the total
environmental emissions of norwegian aquaculture, and the results shows that contributes to
< 1% impact category (apart from CED) and will therefore not be considered a cut-off in
conjunction with LCA.The results shows that the cleanerfish does not contribute much to the enviromental impact from the salmon production. Gjennomsnittsverdien of GWP for cleanerfish is 18 858,3
kg/Co2-e. | |
