Sammendrag
Digitalization is the process where organizations start to use digital tools in their everyday work and it is a popular method for organizations to use when they want to achieve more efficiency and quality in their work. In today’s global labour market where we have more competition than ever before, it is essential that the organizations manage to utilize the digital tools that are available today and use the potential that the digital development can offer. In this project I have looked at a digital tool named @else. @else is a human resource manager with artificial intelligence. Human resource management is traditionally a task that involves human relations. In this project I want to see how the employees experience the transition where these tasks are taken over by a digital system. I have completed eight interviews, three interviews with the developers of @else, and five interviews with the ones who are using @else. Through the thematic analysis I found five themes: Usefulness, Expectations affect the use, Different use, Trust and Humour. In this report I argue that there is too little focus on the implementation of @else in the organization, especially with regards to the information and training, and that this should have more focus. I also give some advice on how to ensure a good process when implementing digital tools, which are: focus on finding a system that suits your needs and has a good fit, make a strategy for the implementation, give enough information and training, and make sure you have an open-door policy where the employees can come and talk about the implementation and share their opinions and thoughts. If an implementation process is completed in a good way it might increase the probability for a positive user experience with digital tools.
