dc.description.abstract | Hensikt: Hensikten er å se på behovet for informasjon til barn med kreft, og om informasjon er med på å oppfordre til mestring. Den skal også se på hvordan å best mulig tilpasse og gi informasjonen. Metode: Dette er en literaturstudie, det er derfor gjort søk etter forskningsartikler. Det ble gjort 6 funn. Disse er analysert, og drøftet opp imot litteraturen. Resultat: Barn med kreft har et stort behov for informasjon da dette er med på å bidra til at de mestrer situasjonen. Et godt informert barn har redusert angst og uro. I tillegg til at det takler diagnosen, behandlingen og bieffekter bedre enn de som ikke er informert. Det er viktig at sykepleiere tilpasser informasjonen etter barnets eget ønske, kognitive utvikling og alder. Det å kommunisere godt, i tillegg til å bruke foreldrene som en støttespiller viste seg å være en viktig oppgave. Konklusjon: Det blir konkludert med at barn har et stort behov for informasjon hvis de skal mestre situasjonen. Dette da det viser seg at barn som ikke får rikelig informasjon opplever stress, uro og angst. Det er konkludert med at det er svært viktig at sykepleieren tilpasser informasjonen og forsikrer seg om at den er forstått. dc.description.abstract | Objektive: The primary purpose of this study is (1) to investigate the need for information amongst children with cancer, and whether information is a key asset to successfully coop with the diagnosis. (2) And to look at how to best tailor the information for the children so that they can manage it, and use it as a cooping stratergy. Methods: This is a literature study, based on studies found in various databases. In total there was 6 studies found and used for this paper. These where analysed, and then later on discussed before drawing a conclution. Results: Children with cancer do have a great need of information. This is because it is in fact a major contributor to cooping stratergies. A well informed child will experience less anxiety and stress. Aswell as they will coop with their diagnosis, treatment and sideeffect better than the ones not informed. It is important to take the childs wish and voice in consideration when informing, and for the nurse to tailor the information for the child. To communicate effective, and use parents as a support is a key factor. Conclusions: It is concluded with that children do in fact have great need for information to be able to coop with their situation. This is based on the result that children not getting the same information experience stress and anxiety. It is important that the nurse adjust the information and insure that the information is understood. It is important that the nurses play on team with the parents. | nb_NO |
