dc.description.abstract | In this study production of nystatin by Streptomyces noursei has been selected as a model system for production of polyketides. The work followed a strain- and fermentation development project performed at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Trondheim), SINTEF Applied Chemistry (Trondheim) and Alpharma (Oslo) to develop an industrial fermentation process for production of nystation. Experience and knowledge gained in the industrial project was a basis for this Ph.D. thesis. | nb_NO |
