Abstract

NORSK: Oppgaven omhandler hvilke forholdsregler sykepleiere må ta spesielt hensyn til ved blodtrykksmåling hos pasienter som har atrieflimmer, samt sykepleiers rolle. Hensikten med oppgaven er å finne ut hvilke spesielle hensyn som må tas når det gjelder blodtrykksmåling hos denne pasientgruppen, samt belyse viktigheten av korrekt blodtrykksmåling. Metoden som brukes er litteraturstudie. Søkeordene som er brukt er “Blood pressure”, “procedure”, “Correct”, “Blodtrykk”, “Blodtrykksmåling”, “Blood pressure measurement”, “Atrial Fibrillation”, ”hypertention”, ”nurse”, ”nursing”, ”Pulse measurement”, og ”smoking”. Oppgaven diskuterer forholdsregler som må tas hos denne pasientgruppen. Blant annet hvorvidt det har noe å si om pasienten røyker før måling, digitalt versus manuelt apparat og kvalitet på utstyr.

ENGELSK: This paper deals with which special considerations nurses must think of when it comes to patients with known atrial fibrillation.The purpose of this paper is to figure out the special considerations that must be taken when it comes to measuring blood pressure at this group of patiens, and to point at the importance of correct blood pressure measurement. The method being used in this paper is a literature review. The paper discuss considerations that must be taken in this group of patients, such as smoking before measurements, digital versus manuel blood pressure instrument, and the quality of the instruments being used.
