blitt gjort hovedsakelig to forsøk i oppgaven.
i pianotråden.
dc.description.abstract | The objective of this bachelor thesis was to find out what the composition of
the piano wires from 1850s is, and to find out if it is possible to replicate the
corrosion experienced at Ringve museum. To test if it is possible to replicate
the corrosion at the museum a corrosion chamber test was performed. This test
would be a lot more corrosive than anything in the museum, and the samples
ended of breaking after just one week in the test chamber. Could use the samples
to test the composition and how much oxidation was lost to oxidation during the
test. Also tested a few historical samples for composition and while SEM-EDS
gave some uncertain results the micro structure of a piano wire from 1855 was
determined as granular pearlite.
