dc.description.abstractIn order to be innovative and to offer ever more efficient running shoes, Decathlon seeks to optimize the cushioning of its running shoes using numerical simulation. These numerical tests will make it possible to test a large number of cushioning combinations and allow an enormous saving in time and money. However, they require a good understanding of the numerically simulated materials. Thus, this paper will try to characterize the mechanical behavior of foams used for the cushioning of running shoes. These foams have complex compressible viscohyperelastic behaviors and their responses are currently poorly understood. This paper offers the study of three until then poorly understand foams used to cushion running shoes and will aim to determine a constitutive equation allowing a good prediction of the mechanical behavior of these foams.
