CONGLOMERATUS - dissection of value

Abstract

Kan vi se med mer sympati, eller «humanitet» og empati, på det vi konsumerer og på «naturen» vi gjør inngreo i? Plassert på toppen av hierarkiet, med makt til å gripe inn, er også vi noe naturlig som må utsettes for inngrep. Kroppslig avfall som hår er et biprodukt fra inngrep i menneskekroppen. Håret som vokser naturlig på oss, er både verdsatt og uønsket. Når det skilles fra kroppen, er det ikke lenger «oss», og kan enten være en verdifull salgsvare eller ekkelt søppel. Mine Conglomeratuser er individuelle skapninger, sammensatt av «natur», menneskelig avfall og forgjengelige menneskelige artefakter.

Can we look with more sympathy, or "humanity" and empathy at what we consume and the “nature” we intervene in? Placed at the top of the hierarchy, with power to intervene, we are too something natural that must be intervened with. Our bodily waste such as hair, is a byproduct from intervening with the human body. The hair that grows naturally on us is both appreciated and unwanted. Separated from the body, it is no longer “us”, and can be either a valuable commodity or disgusting trash. My Conglomeratuses are individual creatures, composed of “nature”, human waste and ephemeral human artefacts.”
