Developing an E-learning Platform to Support Understanding of the Shared Model for Service Development in the Healthcare and Municipal Sectors

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven utforsker hvordan multimediebasert e-læring kan forbedre engasjement og læringsutbytte blant ansatte i helse- og kommunesektoren i Innlandet. E-læring, eller elektronisk læring, refererer til bruk av digitale verktøy som datamaskiner, mobile enheter og internett for å styrke tilgangen til opplæring, kommunikasjon og interaksjon.

Prosjektet ble gjennomført i samarbeid med Helseinn for å støtte implementeringen av Fellesmodellen for tjenesteutvikling, et rammeverk som skal styrke samhandling mellom sykehus og kommuner. Vi gjennomførte 12 semistrukturerte intervjuer og en spørreundersøkelse for å identifisere utfordringer ved eksisterende e-læringsplattformer. Ved bruk av tematisk analyse fant vi problemer knyttet til interaktivitet, brukervennlighet, innholdsrelevans. Basert på innsikten utviklet vi en nettbasert e-læringsplattform med fem interaktive moduler for Fellesmodellen. Plattformen inkluderer funksjonalitet som videoer, quizer og dra-og-slipp-oppgaver. Funnene fra intervjuene tyder på at innholdselementer som er varierte, og godt strukturerte kan øke både motivasjon og læringseffekt hos brukerne. Prosjektet bidrar til implementeringen av Fellesmodellen i helse- og kommunesektoren.

This bachelor's thesis explores how multimedia-based e-learning can improve engagement and learning outcomes among healthcare and municipal employees in Innlandet. E-learning, or electronic learning, is a teaching approach that uses digital tools like computers, mobile devices, and the internet to improve access, communication, and interaction.

The project was carried out in collaboration with Helseinn to support the implementation of the Shared Model for Service Development, a framework aimed at improving coordination between hospitals and municipalities. We conducted 12 semi-structured interviews and a user survey to identify key challenges associated with existing e-learning platforms. A thematic analysis of the interviews revealed issues related to interactivity, usability, and relevance, as well as a clear need for flexible and accessible e-learning solutions. Based on these insights, we developed a web-based platform featuring an interactive e-learning course for the Shared Model. It includes functionalities such as videos, quizzes, and drag-and-drop tasks. Findings from the studies indicate that well-structured, varied content can enhance user motivation and learning effectiveness. The project contributes to the implementation of the Shared Model in Innlandet.
