Hvordan fremstiller etatsmuseene i Trondheim Henry Rinnan?

Abstract

Problemstillingen for denne oppgaven er «Hvordan fremstiller etatsmuseene i Trondheim Henry Rinnan?» For å svare på denne problemstillingen har jeg analysert utstillingene de har om ham på Forsvarsmuseet Rustkammeret og Justismuseet ved hjelp av en komparativ utstillingsanalyse. Jeg kobler funnene mine opp mot minneteori, og for å runde av diskuterer jeg hvilken effekt utstillingene har i dag og museenes rolle i minnekulturen.

This bachelor’s thesis explores the stories told about convicted war criminal Henry Rinnan in Forsvarsmuseet Rustkammeret and Justismuseet in Trondheim. I have done this through a comparative exhibition analysis. I connect my findings to the Norwegian memory culture regarding the second world war, and to wrap it up I reflect over the effect the exhibitions have on visitors.
