Begrepslæring med Grunnloven: Om demokratiopplæring gjennom begrepet ytringsfrihet

Abstract

En viktig målsetting i norsk demokratiopplæring er læring gjennom demokrati. I denne artikkelen diskuteres og undersøkes det hvordan begrepslæring gjennom Grunnlovens § 100 om ytringsfrihet kan være en mulig fremgangsmåte for å innfri denne ambisjonen. Sentralt står ytringsfrihetens begrunnelse i sannhetsprinsippet, demokratiprinsippet og autonomiprinsippet, forstått som sentrale sosiale mekanismer i et demokratisk samfunn. Disse mekanismene søkes omsatt i læringsformer.

An important aim of civic education in Norway is education through democracy. This article investigates how concept learning through the Norwegian constitution’s § 100 on freedom of speech, may be a promising avenue for achieving this aim. A core feature of this constitutional principle are the three principles of truth, democracy and autonomy, understood as social mechanisms in a democratic society. These mechanisms will be translated into learning methods.
