Transformation project with focus on LCA

Abstract

Som et resultat av det stadig økende behovet for boliger, er målet med prosjektet transformasjon av bygget og endring av funksjon til bolig. Bygget skal oppgraderes til standarder og forskrifter for å tjene som et komfortabelt og funksjonelt rom for beboerne. I løpet av prosessen fokuseres det dessuten på utslippsnivået og hvordan denne transformasjonen presenterer seg ved siden av nye bygninger.

For analysen og beregningene kan alle metodene som er lært under masterstudiene være anvendelige, det vil si klimaanalyse og simuleringer med bruk av Rhino og Grasshopper. For LCA-beregningsdelen vil Reduzer bli brukt. I tillegg ble 3D-modelleringsprogramvare, grafikk og visualiseringsprogrammer brukt.

As a result of the constantly growing need for housing, the goal of the project is transformation of the building and changing its function to a residential one. The building is supposed to be upgraded to the standards and regulations to serve as a comfortable and functional space for its residents. Moreover, during the process the focus is on the emissions level and how this transformation presents next to new buildings.

For the analysis and calculations all the methods learned during the master studies could be applicable, i.e. climate analysis and simulations with the use of Rhino and Grasshopper. For the LCA calculation part the Reduzer will be used. Additionally, 3d modeling software, graphic and visualization programs were used.
