An integrative taxonomic approach, combining new morphological data with the analysis of partial COI sequences (DNA-barcodes) is used to describe Lebertia litoralis Zawal & Szenejko sp. nov. from lake habitats in Poland and Norway. The obtained DNA-barcodes of Polish and Norwegian specimens differ only slightly (k = 4.142, Π = 0.006). Morphologically, the new species is most similar to Lebertia porosa Thor, 1900 and L. obscura Thor, 1900, from which it differs by a slenderer shape of the first leg and the position of the distoventral setae of p-4, inserted rather far away from the distal segment edge.
