Skole i ei bygd

Abstract

Som konsekvens av sentralisering av kommunale funksjoner i distriktet, er skolen ofte den siste gjenværende offentlige institusjonen i små bygder og grender. I tillegg til å være fysiske rammer for barns læring og oppvekst, er skoleanlegget et viktig sted for kultur, idrett og frivillighet, og en sosial møteplass for innbyggere i bygda. Oppgaven utforsker hvordan den rurale skolens rolle som samfunnsinstitusjon kan styrkes gjennom en flerfunksjonell og stedstilpasset arkitektur.

As a consequence of the centralization of municipal functions in the district, the school is often the last remaining public institution in small villages and local communities. In addition to being a physical framework for children's learning and growing up, the school complex is an important place for culture, sports and volunteering, and a social meeting place for residents of the village. The project explores how the rural school's role as a community institution can be strengthened through a multifunctional and site-appropriate architecture.
