Fra industri til seremoni

Abstract

Prosjektet tar for seg en transformasjon av det nåværende industriområdet på Valøya og gjør det om til et offentlig pusterom og seremonisted for hele byens befolkning hvor opplevelsen av naturen er det samlende elementet. Seremonistedet består både av en offentlig park og mer private seremonirom og -steder. Vi har forsøkt å tegne et prosjekt med flere lag, som skal klare å romme det private og det offentlige, de store og de små seremoniene, ta inne ut og ute inn og skape gode rom for både sorg og glede.

The project deals with a transformation of the current industrial area on Valøya and turns it into a public park and non-denominational ceremony place for the entire city's population, where the experience of nature is the unifying element. The ceremony site consists of both a public park and more private ceremony rooms and locations. We have tried to make a project with several layers, which will be able to accommodate the private and the public, the large and the small ceremonies, bring the inside outside and the outside inside and create good spaces for both grief and joy.
