Aging well - An age inclusive community in the Municipality of Aure
Abstract
By 2030, the older age group is expected to outnumber the younger age group of 0 to 19 years old, in Norway. The elderly boom has gradually become more visible, and with the older population gradually becoming a larger part of society Focusing on the elderly and rural municipalities in Norway, by improving the ageinclusive society and promoting positive attitudes towards the elderly through ageinclusive and generational measures. Encourage retirees to become more active, both socially and physically. Facilitating a centralised nursery home and elderly village that combines several programmes involving the community and residents, could help to enforce the future local social aspect in the municipality.
