This master's thesis has sought to shed light on the following problem: How were the interaction processes in Indre Fosen Municipality experienced in the two projects and what feelings and experiences were left afterwards? with sub-questions to shed light on this issue; Based on these experiences, one can say something about what is a successful interaction? Based on these experiences, how can one ensure that the parties succeed? How important is communication in this? What is the consequence when communication fails? Through qualitative methods, six interviews have been conducted, including four representatives from two different contractors and two representatives from the municipality. The anonymity of the interviewees has been sought in that none of the interviewees are mentioned by name, only what roles they have had in these projects. To shed light on the results that emerged in the interviews, theory has been used in the thesis that will support the findings. The data have then been reviewed, analysed using phenomenological hermeneutic analysis methods in response to the problem. The results after naïve reading and thematic analysis became four distinct themes. These four topics are Trust, Transparency, Communication and Time. What I saw after using phenomenological hermeneutic analysis method, in light of topics that were distilled and overall holistic interpretation, I believe communication and relational theory and competence in this are important success factors for a good interaction phase. In the two projects that were carried out, and which are highlighted in this task, there were different people and companies involved, which highlighted the challenge of collaboration in a good way. Where one was challenged to achieve good communication and, in this way, should succeed, in achieving the objectives, for all the parties in the projects.
