Litteratur som utgangspunkt for å snakke om vanskelige tema: En analyse av Tung tids tale

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven utforsker om vi kan bruke framstilling av autismespekterdiagnoser i litteratur til å snakke om autisme i klasserommet. Ved å bruke skjønnlitteraturen som et utgangspunkt for drøfting og analyse, besvarer oppgaven følgende problemstilling: Hvordan kan vi bruke litteratur som en inngang til å snakke om vanskelige tema: En analyse av Tung tids tale. I min framgangsmåte har jeg valgt å analysere romanen Tung tids tale (2018), skrevet av Olaug Nilssen, for å undersøke hvordan ulike virkemidler i romanen kan utvide og bedre vår forståelse av autismediagnosen. Resultatet av drøftingen konkluderer med at den narrative forestillingsevnen vi utvikler gjennom en analyse og diskusjon av Tung tids tale (2018) skaper en dypere forståelse for de ulike aspektene ved en autismediagnose, en forståelse forankret i prinsipper for grunnopplæringen i det norske læreplanverket. Denne forståelsen tilrettelegger for utvikling av empati, en egenskap som verdsettes høyt i det norske læreplanverket.

This bachelor thesis explores whether we can use the presentation of autism spectrum disorders in literature to talk about autism in the classroom. By using fiction as a starting point for discussion and analysis, the thesis answers the following research question: How can we use literature as a starting point to talk about difficult topics: An analysis of Tung tids tale. In my approach, I have chosen to analyse the novel Tung tids tale (2018), written by Olaug Nilssen, to survey how different literary techniques in the novel can expand and improve our understanding of autism. The result of the discussion concludes that the narrative imagination we develop through an analysis and discussion of Tung tids tale (2018) generate a deeper understanding of the various aspects of an autism diagnosis, an understanding rooted in principles of basic education in the Norwegian curriculum.
