dc.description.abstractBakgrunn: Rundt 400 under 18 år får diabetes type 1 årlig i Norge. Det er en autoimmun sykdom som krever insulinbehandling, og som kan gi alvorlige konsekvenser uten behandling. Hensikt: Hensikten med denne oppgaven er å undersøke hvordan undervisningen er til barn som blir diagnostisert med Diabetes Mellitus type 1, og hvordan undervisning fra sykepleier kan bidra til å gjøre det lettere for barnet å leve med sykdommen. Metode: Metoden for forsøket er systematisk litteraturstudie, der det ble gjort systematiske søk og avgrensninger for å komme frem til 5-8 vitenskapelige artikler som omhandler temaet som er valgt. Resultat: Studien kom frem til at flere typer undervisningsmetoder kan være gode hjelpemidler for barn med diabetes type 1. Dette var midler av ulike former for lek, undervisning på nett, undervisningsprogram og lære om mestringsstrategier, som alle ga positive utfall på ulike aspekter ved å leve med sykdommen. Konklusjon: Undervisning og veiledning er viktig for at barnet skal kunne ta del i egen behandling, og leve videre med sykdommen. Denne undervisningen bør være tilpasset barnets alder og modenhet, og resultatet i studiet viser at både lek, undervisning på nett, undervisningsprogram og mestringsstrategier kan være viktige hjelpemidler i undervisningen til barn.
dc.description.abstractBackground: About 400 people under the years of 18 get diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 each year. It is an autoimmune disease, which requires insulin therapy. Without treatment the illness can lead to fatal complications. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how the education for children with diabetes type 1is, and how education from nurses can contribute to make life easier for children with diabetes. Method: The method used in this study is systematic literature study. A systematic search and delimitations were done to find 5-8 articles about the chosen theme. Results: This study resulted in different types of education methods that can benefit as a tool for children with type 1 Diabetes. These were tools like play, online education, education programs and learning about coping strategies, which gave positive outcomes on different aspects of living with diabetes. Conclusion: Education and guidance are important for the child to be able to participate in their own treatment, and to live with diabetes. This education should be adjusted to the children's age and maturity. The result in this study shows that play, online education, education programs and coping strategies can be used as helpful tools in the diabetes education for children.
