dc.description.abstractNORSK: Introduksjon: Å være ungdom handler om å finne seg selv, og danne seg et selvbilde. Å få diagnostisert en kronisk sykdom som Morbus Crohn på toppen av dette kan oppleves vanskelig. Sykepleiere kan møte denne pasientgruppen i arbeidslivet, og kan måtte hjelpe dem til å forstå og mestre sykdommen. Hensikt: Hensikten med oppgaven er å forstå hvilke utfordringer ungdommer med Morbus Crohn kan oppleve. Vi ønsker å se nærmere på hvordan sykdommen påvirker ungdommen og deres livskvalitet. Samtidig vil vi få mer kunnskap om hva vi som sykepleiere kan gjøre for å hjelpe pasienten gjennom å ha fokus på mestring, tilrettelegging, veiledning og forebygging. Metode: Oppgaven er en litteraturstudie bygget opp på forskningsartikler og faglitteratur. Aktuelle søkeord som vi benyttet: “crohn disease”, “young adults”, “inflammatory bowel disease”, “self-esteem”, “cope” “qualitative studies”, “ostomy”, “education or nursing education” og “Quality of Life”. Resultat: Resultatene viste at ungdommer opplever livskvalitet individuelt. Som sykepleier må en vite hva pasienten ønsker og forventer av oss, om ulike mestringsstrategier og betydningen av god veiledning. Resultatene viste også hvordan sykdomsaktiviteten og tiltak kunne påvirke selvbilde og livskvalitet positivt eller negativt. Konklusjon: Gjennom å skape gode relasjoner og tillit mellom sykepleier, pasient og hennes pårørende, opplevde pasientene trygghet. Konklusjonen viser at tilstrekkelig kunnskap, veiledning og god informasjon fra sykepleier er vesentlig for å hjelpe pasienten til mestring. Dette vil igjen opprettholde eller tilbakevinne god livskvalitet.nb_NO
dc.description.abstractENGLISH: Introduction: To be young is about finding yourself and creating a self image which can be found very challenging for some young people. Now imagine if the young adult has a chronic disease like Morbus Crohn, it adds even more challenges and difficulties growing up. Nurses will meet this type of patients in their line of work and may have to help them understand on how to live and cope with this disease. Objective: The purpose of this thesis is to understand the challenges adolescents with Morbus Crohn have. We want to see how the disease affects young people and their quality of life. We also want to increase knowledge on how nurses can help the patients with focus on facilitation, supervision, prevention and learning them how to master this disease. Method: The thesis is a literature study built on research articles and relevant literature. We used following keywords: "Crohn's disease", "young adults", "inflammatory bowel disease", "self-esteem", "cope" "qualitative studies", "ostomy", "education or nursing education" and "Quality of Life " Results: The results showed that young people experience quality of life individually. They show ways and efforts nurses can use. It may be based on knowing what the patient wants and expects of us, different coping strategies and the importance of good guidance. The results also showed how the disease activity and actions could affect self-esteem and quality of life positively or negatively. Conclusion: By creating relation and trust between the nurse, the patient and her family, gave the patient back some of the security that is was lacking. The conclusion showed that sufficient knowledge, guidance and good information from nurses is essential for helping the patients coping. This will maintain or regain the good quality of life.nb_NO
