Smarte havner

Abstract

Bakgrunnen for at havnene ønsker å bli smarte, kommer blant annet av nasjonale og internasjonale bærekrafts-målsetninger og et ønske fra havnene sin side om å være konkurransedyktige. Det blir i oppgaven kartlagt i hvor stor grad smart havn begrepet er innarbeidet i havnene, hvor inkludert dette er i byene og hvordan dette påvirker skipene.

Gjennom intervju av et utvalg av havner, har gruppen kartlagt hvor mye de kan om smartbegrepet, hva de jobber mot for å bli en smartere havn og hvordan de tilrettelegger seg til brukerne av havna. Det er og blitt undersøkt hva de store internasjonale havnene har gjort og jobber med innenfor smarte havner.

En smart havn er en havn som bruker digital teknologi og innovative metoder for å optimalisere aktiviteten og driften av havnen samt tilrettelegge for miljøvennlige løsninger som; landstrøm, krav om utslippsfrie fartøy og energihubber for sjø og land.

Smarte havner vil påvirke skipene på den måten at de må tilrettelegge seg etter smartere og mer innovativ teknologi. Krav om mindre utslipp, vil gjelde både for nye, men også eksisterende skip. Ved innføring av smarte systemer og elektrifisering vil dette kreve en kompetanseheving for mannskapene om bord på fartøyene. Det må også komme standarder, for å lette jobben med å innføre nye og smarte løsninger.

The reason why the ports want to be smart are partly due to national and international sustainability goals as well as a wish from the ports turn to be competitive. The thesis maps the extent to which the smart port concept is incorporated in the ports, how included this is in the cities and how this affects the ships.

Through interviews with a selection of ports, the group has mapped how much they know about the concept, how they work towards becoming a smarter port and how they adapt to the users of the port. It has been investigated what the major international ports have done and are working on within smart ports.

A smart port is a port that uses digital technology and innovative methods to optimize the activity and operation of the port as well as facilitate environmentally friendly solutions such as; shore power, requirements for emission-free vessels and energy hubs for sea and land.

Smart ports will affect ships in such a way that they will have to adapt to smarter and more innovative technology. Requirements for lower emissions will apply to both new and existing ships. The introduction of smart systems and electrification will require an increase in the skills of the crews on board the vessels. There must also be standards, to facilitate the job of introducing new and smart solutions.
