This thesis aims at developing and verifying a concept design for a warehouse robot provided by Currence Robotics. As a proof of concept the group proves the plausibility of the design, and any shortcomings and improvements are directly communicated with the company. The GRAB 2.0 prototype is built including its main parts consisting of the Snake, Snakebox, Hasselhoff Hug, and tower. The criteria for this project is to build a functioning prototype and to develop a 3D simulation of the robot. The robot has an extendable arm that can move in three axes, vertically and horizontally, as well as rotate. This arm should be able to pick and place a lightweight parcel. An AGV will move the robot, which is beyond the prototype's scope, but it is included in the simulation. The results shows that the prototype and the simulation meets all the criteria set forth by the project description. The group is able to control the three axes on the prototype with a PLC. A separate user interface was made to navigate the robot. The robot is successfully picking up, moving, and placing packets, proving the company's concept as plausible. A separate simulation is made with an expanded pick-and-place sequence of packets with the robot moving through a storage environment. This project proves that the concept design has potential, however there is room for improvement in certain parts, especially the Snake.
