The group consists of three students who study economics, management and sustainability. Our bachelor thesis is a study that will map how human resources are utilized in the organization. The purpose of our task is to investigate how human resources are affected by uneven production loads. In this context, the human resources are the warehouse employees at Hapro Electronics AS. We want to examine whether employees experience the uneven production load as demanding and stressful, or if they find it motivating and become more efficient. The bachelor’s thesis was carried out in collaboration with Hapro Electronics AS. In our research, we have used a quantitative research design by conducting surveys. By conducting virtue interviews, we have also used a qualitative research design. The in-depth interviews were conducted on a representative sample of the population. In connection with our collected data, they will be linked to relevant theories within the psychological working environment. We will evaluate which kind of factores that influence whether workers are affected by the uneven production load. How much significance does uneven production load have for the employees at Hapro Electronics AS? How is the work engagement among them? How much control do they have of their everyday work life? How does employees experience the interaction and communication within the organization? What factors in the psychological working environment make them motivated at work, despite the uneven production load? Finally, it will be examined how the employees are actually affected. The conclusion of the research question is that it was not the uneven production load that was demanding for the warehouse workers, but there are other variables such as poor resource utilization. It emerged that our committee had a strong desire for further development of its resources. This was particularly prominent when it came to the communication not being at a satisfying level. In summary, this thesis will contribute to greater awareness within resources utilization.
