Mer enn bare 13 - Autobiografi og devised ungdomsteater

Abstract

Denne praktiskteoretiske analysen undersøkjer devised ungdomsteater og autobiografi. Tema vert undersøkt med hjelp av teori om dokumentarisme (Lid 2018), verkelegheitsteater (Peripeti 2017), etnoteater og etnodrama (Saldaña 2016), autobiografisk teater (Heddon 2008), minner og sårbarheit (Rønning & Fyhn 2016), og omsorg (Brown 2014). Analysen tek utgangspunkt i ein praktisk eksamen som var tufta på ein kunstnarisk produksjon som resulterte i førestillinga Mer enn bare 13 framført på Hoeggen ungdomsskule i Trondheim. Problemstillinga for den kunstnariske produksjonen var retta mot korleis ein kunne skape eit tekstleg, musikalsk og fysisk sceneuttrykk i møte mellom min autobiografi og ungdomens forteljingar. I den teoretiske analysen veks det autobiografiske fokuset fram som betydingsfullt og eg søkjer å finne ut kva som særpregar prosessen i dette fokuset. Devising vart brukt som overordna struktureringsverktøy for planlegginga og utføringa av produksjonen. Denne måten å strukturere produksjonen passa meg godt fordi eg hadde erfaring frå denne måten å arbeide på og den ga fridom til improvisasjon som grunnlag for utvikling av det autobiografiske materialet. På grunnlag av dette har problemstillinga for denne teoretiske analysen blitt: «Korleis kan ein devised produksjonsprosess anerkjenne og formgi ung autobiografi?». Analysen visar mellom anna til ein prosess som er prega av autobiografisk forskingsstandpunkt, sårbarheit som ethos, augneblikk som leiar til funn mot eit eige kunstnarisk uttrykk, søk etter dramaturgiske val og ulike sceniske uttrykk som tenderer mot verkelegheitsteateret.

This practical theoretical analysis examines devised youth theater and autobiography. Themes are investigated with the help of theory about documentarism (Lid 2018), reality theater (Peripeti 2017), ethno theater and ethnodrama (Saldaña 2016), autobiographical theater (Heddon 2008), memories and vulnerability (Rønning & Fyhn 2016), and care (Brown 2014). The analysis is based on a practical exam that was based on an artistic production that resulted in the performance Mer enn bare 13 performed at Hoeggen ungdomsskule in Trondheim. The problem for the artistic production was directed at how one could create a textual, musical and physical stage expression in the meeting between my autobiography and the youth's stories. In the theoretical analysis, the autobiographical focus emerges as significant and I seek to find out what characterizes the process in this focus. Devising was used as the overriding structuring tool for the planning and execution of production. This way of structuring the production suited me well because I had experience from this way of working and it gave freedom to improvisation as a basis for the development of the autobiographical material. On the basis of this, the problem for this theoretical analysis has become: "How can a devised production process recognize and shape young autobiography?". The analysis refers, among other things, to a process that is characterized by an autobiographical research point of view, vulnerability as an ethos, moments that lead to discoveries towards one's own artistic expression, a search for dramaturgical choices and various scenic expressions that tend towards reality theater.
